We hope you and your students enjoy using this course.
English Firsthand believes that students learn best by using English
as they learn it.
We learn English by using English.
With support, learners really can communicate in English, even from the
beginning. For this reason, there is a lot of interaction and a lot of learner
support in English Firsthand. English Firsthand 2 provides a variety
of personalized tasks. You will nd that these tasks enable students to share
their ideas and experiences. The tasks are designed for learner success
which helps learners build con dence. English Firsthand 2 provides
40–60 hours of class work. Additional material is provided in the
